Evan and Caleb…

Posted on July 27, 2010

Evan and Caleb came to see their Mimi and Granddad a couple of weeks ago and we had to get some pictures.  Granddad took us to some great places on their land but his warning was “watch your step, there are rattlesnakes out here”!  Gulp.  I’m crazy scared of snakes…like drop the camera and run kind of scared.  Thankfully, we did not see any and I didn’t have to embarrass myself.  The boys were a little more at ease with me this time but they would have much rather spent time with Granddad than with me.  He was a great sport and joined in a few pictures with them.  Thanks Betty and Ronnie for having me out and watching out for snakes for me!!

Grant…

Posted on July 15, 2010

As promised, more of Grant.  This little guy has a special place in my heart.  His Mom, Meagan, is one of my favorite girls from work.  She is ALWAYS smiling, constantly encouraging and more than willing to help someone out.  She has recently achieved her nursing license (yeah!) and is going to be a fabulous nurse.  Her hospital family was a little excited and anxious for this guys’ arrival.  Little Grant took lots of time and effort to get here and Meagan was ever the trooper (and thanks to the nursing skills of THE Nurse Betty).  She had quite the collection of nurses when she delivered because we all were dying to see him (especially me).   Two weeks later, I got to take pictures of this little guy.  He is so adorable…what a little blessing.

I’m going to start with a few pictures Meagan sent me.  Grant fought sleep so hard and I finally did my “sleeper hold” on him.  This is one my tricks to get them to sleep, there is something about holding their head and booty close and tight.  While I was doing this,  Meagan said “I’ve got to get a picture of this”! I had to share…looks like I am praying over him.

You are getting very sleepy…

It worked!! He was in such a deep sleep he let me do whatever I wanted.  Patience. Patience. Patience.

Love will keep us together…

Posted on July 5, 2010

Meet the Whitfield’s.  You know Ezra from her 1 year shoot, now meet the rest of the family.  Just to refresh your memory, I met Ronnie and Ashley when she was pregnant with Ezra.  She had a few visits to L and D before the big day and I was always her nurse.  I loved her from the moment I met her (who wouldn’t love a pregnant girl with purple highlights?!) and I got to be there when Ezra came into the world.

We have continued to have random meetings throughout this year and during Ezra’s shoot I got to hear about all that God is doing in Ronnie and Ashley’s life.  They have started a church here in WF called Onelife Community Church.  If you are looking for a church that will accept you right where you are, go to their church.  You will be welcomed with open arms.

Whitfields, I love you guys.  It was a great shoot for me since I have been out of action for so long.  Love your crazy ideas and I love you how much you love each other.  Hope you love them.

Samantha and Brant…Married!

Posted on May 8, 2010

Samantha and Brant tied the knot last weekend in my old hometown.  I have known Samantha “Sam” since she was in high school.  She was always one of my favorite girls back then when Scott and I were working in the youth ministry and she has grown into a great woman.  She waited a while for Brant to come along and she couldn’t have been happier Saturday!  She and Brant planned a great wedding and after the wedding she said to me “wasn’t it all just perfect?”!  Yes, it was.  Thanks guys for letting me be a part of your day…it was an honor!!!  Thanks Jessica Bailey for coming off of maternity leave to second shoot for me!!

Kohen is 4…

Posted on May 6, 2010

Meet Kohen. He is big brother to Kresee who is a regular around here.  He just celebrated birthday #4 and we got some pics to remember the big day.  The weather was beautiful but the mosquitoes were out in full force!  So, if you have pictures scheduled anytime soon, remember the bug spray!!

His favorite color is purple…

Posted on April 13, 2010

You guys know Brynson…this is his third time to come see me.   Everyone calls him “the kid with the cheeks”.  We went downtown to change up the scenery and he was so good…until it was time for the cake.  We had to bribe him to eat it but he still never enjoyed it.   Thanks Angela for bringing him to see me again…it has been fun to watch him grow this year.  Happy Birthday Brynson!!!

Landree…

Posted on April 9, 2010

Meet Landree.  She came to see me last week and slept the entire time…three straight hours.  She would open up an eye here and there, then go right back to sleep.  I love that I got to photograph her, even more I love that her Mom is in my life I again.  Autumn and Zack, thanks for bringing her to see me…what a great visit.  Can’t wait to see what God does through your family.  Love you guys.
